Many people believe that it is impossible to find a place to stay in Metro Manila that is both highly accessible and provides plenty of peace and quiet. Most of them would say that it either has to be one or the other. However, what would you say if I told you that there is a residential community in the center of Metro Manila that actually provides the best of both worlds? The Governor’s Place, located smack dab in the middle of Mandaluyong City is just the place for you. It is just minutes away from the Ortigas Complex yet tucked away in a quiet corner of the city where the noises from the busy city cannot reach you.
The Governor’s Place is one of the many top projects of Empire East Land Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary company of Megaworld Corporation. It is also considered as one of the premier condominium builders in the country today. Even though the company does not have nearly as many projects as its competition, it makes up for it by only producing high-end residences that people will not think twice about buying.
The Governor’s Place is probably Empire East’s best residential projects so far, providing residents with easy access to many different kinds of modern city facilities. It is also a home that is conducive to rest and relaxation. You will be hard-pressed to find another condominium complex that provides the same benefits that the Governor’s Place can provide you.
The Governor’s Place Condominium Complex consists of four towers, each of them are 16 stories tall and sits on a huge expanse of prime land. There are three different unit types available in the residential towers - studio-type units, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom units. This means that regardless if you live alone, or if you have a small family of your own, there is always a place for you at the Governor’s Place.
Let’s first examine the studio-type units. These units have a total floor area of 33 square meters, has 1 T&B, and a kitchen area with built-in tiled counter tops, cupboards and cabinets, and provisions for a refrigerator and electric stove. Even though the studio-unit might seem small on paper, it is actually designed efficiently. You can place a queen-sized bed and a modest-sized cabinet in the sleeping area, and a couple of couches and a small dining area in the rest of the open living space. There is actually more than enough space in the studio-type units for a single person or a couple.
For those who want a bit of privacy (for instance, if you have guests come over to your unit and you do not want them to see your private sleeping area), there is the one-bedroom unit. Measuring 52 square meters, the one-bedroom units provide quite a bit more space than the studio type, which means you have a bigger open area to play with when arranging your living and dining area.
The bedroom is also quite large. You can easily position a queen-sized bed without any problem. However, if you want more room, a double will work nicely and leave more room for a couple more pieces of furniture. The kitchen area is almost the same size as the one in the studio-type units but it is neatly tucked away in one corner of the condo unit. The bathroom is also quite spacious, fully-tiled, and completely furnished.
Now, if you are married and you have one or two kids, you will need to avail of the two-bedroom units. This massive unit has 84 square meters of floor space, two bedrooms, a common T&B, a Maid’s quarters (which can also double as a third room or a guest room) with its own T&B, a much bigger kitchen area, and more space for living and dining areas.
The rooms have more than enough space for a queen-sized bed and they both have provisions for air conditioning units. If you have more than one child, you can place a bunk bed in one of the rooms, so there will be enough space left over for their cabinets and study desks.
All units have provisions for electricity (Meralco), cable TV (Destiny Cable), phone lines (PLDT only), and internet (all providers). The great thing about the units in the Governor’s Place is that they are as wide as they are deep unlike other condominium units that are deep and narrow. This means that you will be walking past the kitchen area upon entering the room. The units in the Governor’s Place are all efficiently designed that they actually feel like a real home not just a cramped space.
